Lab-created colored-cultured diamonds are real diamonds; molecularly identical to naturally
mined diamonds. The original technology was developed in the 1950’s, but it was not until
recently that they have perfected the technology enough to produce gem-quality colored cultured
diamonds from human hair.

Although, this may sound bizarre to some, the fact remains that humans and animals are
carbon based life forms.  Natural Diamonds are created from carbon under intense heat and
pressure over millions of years.  Expanding on the original technology developed by General
Electric and the Russian Space Program during  the 1950’s they have been able to create gem-
quality colored cultured diamonds in a laboratory environment by reducing and extracting
carbon from hair containing the mDNA of its donor by utilizing the
HTHP ( High Temperature,
High Pressure) process. This is essentially the same process used to create Life Diamonds
and Memorial Diamonds distributed by
New Life Diamonds & Gems.

In 2006, another company specializing in memorial diamonds acquired a small hair sample
from
Ludwig Von Beethoven,  through a historical hair collector. They created a blue .5 ct
diamond which sold on eBay for $202.000. This was the 1st historical diamond ever created.

diamonds.
